APPLYING AT REPUBLIC UNIVERSITY

Before applying to Republic University

  • choose your field of studies
  • make sure to fulfill all requirements
  • If you need to take any of the tests (TOEFL, GCSE, GCE or IELTS), check the test dates and corresponding application deadlines and register as early as possible. Once you have taken the test, it will take two to four weeks for the original score report to arrive at Republic University.
  • If you need a reference letter for your programme, please contact your referees (2) as soon as possible to make sure they are actually available (they may be on vacation or sabbatical) and ask them to prepare the letters of recommendation that you will find in our main website. The letters must be sent directly to Republic University or can be sent in signed and sealed envelopes with the rest of your documents.
  • Get your school and university transcripts. Please note that we cannot accept photocopied transcripts unless the copies have been certified as true copies (and not been copied again!).
  • Send the necessary fees together with the other application documents or pay via our Republic University shop on the Internet or transfer the application fee. From some parts of the world, this may easily take several weeks. An application without application fee cannot be processed!
  • check the application deadline and apply for the correct year
  • Send your complete application documents along with the application fee to the contact address for applications. It is necessary for you to specify in which country you want to study since we are proud to announce the opening since 2004 of a new Campus in Florida (U.S.A).

    Background Check

If you apply for entry to Nursing or Social Work, you will need to undergo a Criminal Records Check. All offers of places on these courses are subject to a satisfactory CRC Enhanced Disclosure. If you are made an offer, you will be sent instructions on how to arrange for a CRB check. If you receive an offer for deferred entry, and firmly accept it, you will need to undergo the CRB check during your gap year. We will write to you a few months prior to the start of your course with details of how to arrange this.

However, the Republic University offers educational/training programmes which require students to come into contact with the public and assume positions of trust. To ensure the protection of the public, and justify public trust and confidence, The University is required to ensure that only suitable candidates are allowed to undertake these programmes of study/training.

If you are living overseas and have never been a resident of the U.S, any offer of a place will be subject to the equivalent of a Criminal Records Check, normally a satisfactory check from your local police station (sometimes referred to as a Certificate of Good Conduct). This document will be required as well when you will apply for a student visa to the consulate or embassy of you country of residence if you apply as an international student.
How will your studies be financed?

Note: Acceptance for study does not imply the provision of financial assistance by Republic University. Applicants who are international students must make their own financial arrangements, documentary confirmation of which must be enclosed. Please also note that even if the application fees are the same in England as well as in the U.S, the courses fees are different.
